COMMUNICATIONS: None COMMITTEE REPORTS: Trailmaster's Report: No report. Membership: 132 paid members Publicity: March Sno-Traveler story submitted. It was noted that the caption under the picture in the February Sno-Traveler was mis-labeled and should have been "Merrimack Right Riders join in the Merrimack Holiday Parade". It's dangerous AND it's illegal! - On a different note, there will be a class on proper fuel siphoning techniques offered at the next regular club meeting. Interested? Neither am I! Fund Raising: The Sno-Buds placed 1st in Hillsboro county and 3rd in the state at the 2006 Ride-In for Camp Sno-Mo with our donation of $5000! $750 was the winning bid for the Thirsty Dawgs Bone. Hillsboro Cty was #1 in the state with $27,844.25 raised (77% of the Ride-In total). All together, $81,042.64 was raised for Camp Sno-Mo. There was 56% state-wide club participation at this year's Ride-In. SIDE NOTE: The Thirsty Dawgs Bone will be retired in 3 years. Roland will be dropping off the bone at Creative Signs to have our "mark" put on it for 2006. Web Site: Feb avg: 168 visits/day. Motion seconded by George Lyon and carried by majority vote. - The nominating committee presented their recommendation for club officers for 2006-2007 season, keep the current roster of officers. Motion made by Dave Connelly to accept the nominating committee's recommendation. Motion was seconded. Secretary cast one vote to install officers. Our sincerest thanks to the nominating committee for their tireless work. We understand that one officer was somewhat reluctant to accept being nominated for another year. His last-minute acceptance avoided any complications to this whole process. Isn't politics fun! NEW BUSINESS: ACSA calendars (4) available. All snatched up quickly. COUNTY MEETING: Cty mtg was held in Merrimack on January 30th. Highlights: Warren to Woodstock trail is "done", but needs snow cover. - Groomer accident lawsuit has been settled. - NHSA members-at-large must join a club in order to get discounted sled registration. - April Sno-Traveler will list the site of the 2007 Ride-In. - The grass drags books are closed for 2005 and a $17,000 loss was recorded (with all bills paid). - Next county meeting will be in Hancock on 2/27 (they serve very nice pies, just ask George!). W/E RIDING PLANS: Conditions around the state are dismal, but a storm is looming large and may give us something to cheer about. Keep an eye on your email for riding plans! Motion made to adjourn meeting around 8:09. Motion was seconded and it carried. ---NEXT CLUB MEETING--- February 22nd at Wasserman Park at 7:30pm. Respectfully submitted by: Eric Mortenson, Secretary |
