Membership: 113 paid members (does not include the new membership applications brought to tonight's meeting). Publicity: Story featuring President Rick appeared in the Telegraph this week, then went to the AP, was mentioned on WZID radio (Manchester, NH) and appeared in USA TODAY. Advisors to the President have directed him to have a polishing rag handy and to leave the floor jack in the corner. - March Sno-Traveler story being developed. Got any good material? Let me know! Activities: Ride-In rooms squared away. Payment collected. NOTE: Trailers MUST be unhooked and put in separate parking spot while staying at the Coos Motor Inn. Safety: Nothing to report. Fund Raising: Need your donations for Camp Sno-Mo! Web Site: Jan avg: 211 visits/day. UNFINISHED/OLD BUSINESS: Fuel assistance donation finalized. NEW BUSINESS: Horsehill committee holding regular meetings; next one is 1/30 at Merrimack townhall at 7PM (same night as county meeting). Prez Rick DiOrio will be there. Rick said he'd get with Roland to discuss trail dimensions (there seems to be a concern with the requirements coming from the town). - Thirst Dawgs auction dollars allocated to secure the Dawg Bone at the Ride-In (thru a motion, a second and vote). - Discussion about donating to the NHSA legal fund and scholarship fund. Tabled until after county meeting where questions about fund status/appropriation can be asked and answered. Answers will be presented at the 2/8 club meeting. - The BOD met prior to this meeting to discuss changes to the by-laws. Here are their recommended changes: #1) Article III, Section III, paragraph a: REMOVE "a $5.00 one-time capital equipment fund fee for new members". #2) Article III, Section V, correct an error referencing "Article II, Section I requirements". This should read "Article III, Section I requirements". #3) Article VI, Section I, paragraph b, currently reads: "All officers shall assume their official duties at the first meeting in March." Revise to read: "All officers shall assume their official duties at the second meeting in February." If you have any comments, questions or concerns with these proposed changes, please present them at the February 8th meeting for consideration. Once all discussion has ended, a two-thirds positive vote of the members present will be required for the changes to be accepted. COUNTY MEETING: Next county meeting will be in Merrimack on January 30th. Eric Mortenson to secure refreshments. W/E RIDING PLANS: Conditions around the state are pretty sad. Snow cover in a lot of areas has been severely reduced by warm temps. Supposed to be warm again this weekend. Keep the faith and don't put your sleds on the lawn with a "for sale" sign, though, 'cause the season ain't over yet! Motion made to adjourn meeting around 8:25. Motion was seconded and it carried. ---NEXT CLUB MEETING--- February 8th at Wasserman Park at 7:30pm. Respectfully submitted by: Eric Mortenson, Secretary |
