Merrimack Sno-Buds Snowmobile Club Meeting Minutes 11/23/05 Meeting called to order at 7:30PM by Club President Rick DiOrio NOTICE: The next regular Club meeting is on December 14th at Wasserman Park at 7:30PM. ATTENDANCE: 13 members present. PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: Minutes from November 9, '05 presented. Motion made by Newt Coryell to accept minutes. Motion seconded by Rick DiOrio and carried. NEW BILLS: None pre$ented. $heldon becomes gleeful. COMMUNICATIONS: Message from NHSA regarding the trail situation in Alstead, Acworth and Langdon. The Fall floods did alot of damage to the trails and they need repair to be useful again. Surf over to www.tritowntrailblazers.com for more info on how you can help. - On November 25th, Edgar Hetteen, the Father of Snowmobiling and founder of both Polaris AND Arctic Cat celebrated his 85th birthday. His son, Ronn has collected his dad's movies, videos, tapes, and photo albums and is in the process of producing vidoes and DVDs for snowmobiles to enjoy. Check out www.nhsnowmobilemuseum.com to learn more about getting your copy(ies)! COMMITTEE REPORTS: Trailmaster's Report: No report. Membership: Eric M to get applications to Nashua Polaris. Publicity: Need more "stuff" for January. UPDATE: Story was submitted, but I'll always take whatever you have. We still have 3 more issues of the Sno-Traveler to go! Activities: Holiday Parade coming up on December 4th. - Holiday party no set for Sunday, December 11th from 5-10. Safety: OHRV Safety Course is full! 24 from NH, 35 from MA, 1 from RI. Door priZes still need to be collected. Instructors requested to be there at 6:45AM. Fund Raising: Cans recently cashedin. Received $440. May be enough to do this again, just before Ride-In. - 2005 Ride-In t-shirts handed out to participants. - Raffle tix available. - Donation solicitation getting readied. Please contact $heldon or Newt if you need one or two, or twenty. Web Site: November avg: 179 visits/day UNFINISHED/OLD BUSINESS: Dave Burbank to find out where interested parties can donate Fall flood relief funds (Club voted to donate $100 at last meeting). NEW BUSINESS: on February 18th, the 21st anniversary of the Nh Snowmobile Museum will take place on Highland Lake. There will be a sled show, radar runs and bragging sessions. In the evening there will be a banquet at the Cat n' Fiddle in Concord. Glen Mallory, the developer of the Sachs Wankel engine is scheduled to be a guest speaker. Motion was seconded and passed. - A-1 Sports has been sold and is now under new management. COUNTY MEETING: Next meeting will be in Goffstown on Novermber 28th. W/E RIDING PLANS: Wherever there's rideable snow! Motion made to adjourn meeting around 8:15. Motion was seconded and it carried. ---NEXT CLUB MEETING--- December 14th at Wasserman Park at 7:30pm.
