Merrimack Sno-Buds Snowmobile Club Meeting Minutes 9/28/05 Prior to coming to order, the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Meeting called to order at 7:30PM by Club President Rick DiOrio NOTICE: The next regular Club meeting is on October 12th at Wasserman Park at 7:30PM. ATTENDANCE: 16 members present. PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: Minutes from September 14, '05 presented. Motion made by Dave Connelly to accept minutes. Motion seconded by John Livingston and carried. NEW BILLS: None pre$ented. $heldon danced a jig! (It wasn't pretty.) COMMUNICATIONS: Uncanoonuc Mntrs Flea Mkt & Antique Snowmobile Show, Oct 22, 8-3, Rt114 Goffstown, across from police station & Hillsboro Cty Complex; Merrimack Library request for club information (completed by Sheldon); letter from Karen Eichler of the Gorham Rescue Squad thanking the Sno-Buds for supporting their purchase of a rescue sled; card from Easter Seals announcing their awards dinner on 11/29 (formal notice to follow); assorted junk mail.. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Trailmaster's Report: 4 wheeler track, if groomed by the Buds, would need to be done with an angle iron drag. More on this later. Keys to access track are available at the transfer station and the Merrimack Police Station. Membership: Rick D agreed to check with RJ Motorsports about selling Sno-Bud memberships. However: Don't forget to keep your membership current by paying your dues. Publicity: No report. Activities: More Ride-In rooms reserved at the Coos Motor Inn (Feb 3-5). If you're not set on a room yet, contact Denny Townson. - Grass drags and water crossing: more space for flea mkt, new entrance gate location, more Slednecks. Safety: Seven students already signed up for the December 3rd OHRV Safety Course (one from RI). That George is quite the Salesman! Fund Raising: $3000 was given to Easter Seals to help them recover from a fload at their Manchester office. - There will be NO matching funds challenge this season for the Ride-In. Web Site: Sept avg 118 visits/day and 405 hits/day. The NH Grass Drags site: avg 325 visits/day & 9000 hits/day! UNFINISHED/OLD BUSINESS: "Sign Guy" has offered to print signs for state orgs. Call him directly: Hal Mahoney 508/870-2202. NEW BUSINESS: Nov 9th, BOD Mtg. All members asked to attend (will be at Rick DiOrio's) - Bill Clendennin and Pam Gellete have offered to host this year's holiday gathering. Thanks!!!! Dates considered: Dec 10th and 17th. - Merrimack Winter Carnival will be on 2/18/06 - Holiday Parade date has been confirmed: 12/4 (day after the OHRV course). COUNTY MEETING: Grooming contacts signed - Warren to Woodstock trail: will be holding work parties to help clear it. Contact Grafton Cty Director, Jeff Balch for details. W/E RIDING PLANS: Watch your email. Or better yet, make plans now to sponsor a ride this season. It's really simple and virtually free. The only opportunity for it to cost you would be if the riders you're leading loose site of you and have to wait at an intersection for you to come back for them. Don't worry, the "fine" goes towards our Camp Sno-Mo donation. Motion made to adjourn meeting around 8:21.
